Hilarious! I'm sure some of the lessons you teach them, they'll turn into Daddy-isms and pass on to their own kids. :)
You are lucky to have real kids, lol.
My sister share her free time between my computer & the tv :(

This is absolutely true! My mom's was to say "A dollar three eighty" when we asked about money. I do the same thing..

It's hilarious to be a mom. Sometimes the stuff that comes out of my mouth is astounding!

I love it!

tooo funny....nice to see kids playing outside and not stuck to the tv or Playstation.......

Ya know, I appreciate that they like being outdoors and playing and...just being KIDS! They do have an XBox but it's use is restricted to Friday and Saturday nights (or any night when there is no school the next day). We don't have cable and since we live in the boondocks, that means we really have no real TV (aside from the fabulous PBS). Also, no computer at home (gasp!).

We watch family friendly DVD's, but otherwise, we try to take advantage of real family time by playing board games, coloring together and really just appreciating, enjoying and exploring life. They are my Pride and Joy...Pudge and BabyCakes xoxoxox

my boys have every video game console known to man(because their dad is a major geek) but the only time they can touch it is on Saturdays..and that's 2 hours max, other wise like yourself we play a lot of board games. The latest big hit is charades for kids. It is so funny watching the 5 year old trying to act something out. Good for you for being SUPER MOM! I wish more parents were like you. I see a lot of bad parenting around here and it drives me nuts. Hi-5 to Pudge and BabyCakes!

We LOVE Charades! We picked up a kids edition (with pictures and words) for at the Children's Museum last fall and Yes it's So heeelarious...Jeremiah (my youngest) is So Serious about it! They also love the SpongeBob SquarePants version of LIFE...which is great for younger kids.

Thanks for the compliment :-) Your boys are lucky too!

holy cow! no internet? how is that possible? But yes! That's awesome..."Your butt stinks!"

Wow, I think there's a reason God (or insert other fate-deciding entity here, let's not get into it right now, kay?) gave me girls because I think I'd faint dead away the first time they came home muddy.

They're so cute!

That's Funny! Mud is the Least of my Worries. I'm scared to go in their pockets when I tackle Mt. Washmore....

So very very scared.......

Brilliant.... :) and yes, it's great being a mum ! good on you for no net, I m lucky that Sarita does a lot of performing arts classes, she loves being outdoors, and even when indoors, we are very good friends and have a laugh, we love doing stuff together...so the net is for saturdays eve or holidays...

On the *mommy-ism*, I keep telling my mum that I can hear her, loud n clear, when I talk to Sarita.... , and your is great :)

I'm delighted to see a mum like you :)

If more of us would get our kids the time, love n laughs instead of nursing them with TV and computers....(which I have to say you see a lot here in the UK) maybe they ll inherit a better world.. :)

Very cute...I love hearing stories like that. Makes me look forward to when my kid (soon to be kids, my wife just found out she's pregnant!) is a little older and comes up with some funny idiosyncratic statements like that.

P.S. I've caught you via RSS for a while now and just now got back to reading through the site - something looks different, did you update your design? Regardless, it is really nice looking....

Thanks for noticing my "upgraded" blog :-) Everyone is so creative with their banners...I'm probably the only one still using Vox templates

Congrats on the New Addition!! What a Blessing! They will be able to keep each other company...I can't tell you how much That Helps...with the keeping of sanity.

I love hearing that you and Sarita are close....reminds me of me and my Mom...all we had was each other. Performing Arts was my saving Grace too and opened so many doors...not to mention my eyes and soul. You're a Great Mum!

Your current mommy-ism is much better than mine! (mine being: "no one likes to have their head sat on.")

It's wonderful and it brings back memories when I was kid catching insects, frogs...just being a kid.

This post brings back memories.
Trust me, your choice of vox templates for design beats half of those people with custom banners. Even mine isn't that great - I need to learn some more photoshop skills if I wanted to make a decent banner.

As for the keeping of the sanity...that's assuming we have any sanity left by the time the newest little one is around to occupy the other one!

Their butts might stink, but they're really good kids ;)

Yes they are Huey...thanks :-)

Lulubird, I thought the same thing about having girls. God must have blessed me with girls cause he knew I couldn't handle dirt. JUST WAIT, is all I have to tell you. Now I'm BEGGING for dirt to exchange for "bitchy" teenaged bad girl behavior! lol I'd give anything to go back to the days where your girls are now and I could do their hair and they'd LIKE it! Needless to say, THAT'S not happening anymore! Darn girls!

To laugh often and love much; to win the respect of intelligent persons and the affection of children; to earn the approbation of honest citizens and endure the betrayal of false friends; to appreciate beauty; to find the best in others; to give of one's self; to leave the world a bit better, whether by a healthy child, a garden patch or a redeemed social condition; to have played and laughed with enthusiasm and sung with exultation; to know even one life has breathed easier because you have lived - this is to have succeeded. - Ralph Waldo Emerson
