Notable Chicago Event: Dining Out for Life 4.26.07
On Thursday, April 26, 2007 80 of the hottest restaurants in Chicagoland will join together to raise money for families and individuals impacted by HIV/AIDS. Chicago-area restaurants will donate a portion of their receipts on April 26, 2007 to benefit AIDSCare.
The success of the event depends on getting the word out because the amount of money raised depends on how many people participate by simply “Dining Out” on April 26, 2007.
“Dining Out for Life helps those impacted by HIV/AIDS live with dignity and hope,” says Jim Flosi, Executive Director and Founder of AIDSCARE. “All of the money raised goes directly to providing residential housing, case management, food and support services to those in need.” “Every day more people in our city are infected with the virus and we are raising money for our mothers, fathers, sisters, brothers, friends and relatives who are impacted by HIV/AIDS.”
AIDSCare assists children, families and adults living with advanced HIV/AIDS in the Chicago area achieve a better quality of life through housing, care and supportive services. AIDSCare is the largest provider of housing for people living with HIV/AIDS in Illinois. Joined with over 41 cities across the United States and Canada this will be the single largest HIV/AIDS benefit in the country.
