So, as you can see, I was one of the lucky few to get a ticket to Obama's Election Night Rally. I had not planned on bringing da boys, as the ticket only allowed for me plus 1 guest. But, we were able to get them throught the checkpoints and through the Grace of God, they were able to witness this historic event with me.
It was an Incredible Spirit in that place. The entire crowd counted down the seconds to the close of the West Coast polls and we all started cheering and jumping up and down as CNN then immediately projected Barack Obama our New President!!
And then, to be so honored, to hear his first speech as president elect....it's something we will Never Ever forget! We are so Excited to be a part of this historical event and to witness it in our Sweet Home Chicago....

The Official Twitter Commands
The Official Twitter Commands
Did you know: you can keep Twitter under control from phone, IM, and most 3rd party applications (including Twitterrific!) by using the designated Twitter commands? Use the commands listed below on all devices for fine-grained control of Twitter updates.
Device Basics: turning Twitter off and on
ON: turns ALL device notifications on. (device = your phone or IM)
OFF: turns ALL device notifications off.
STOP, QUIT: stops all messages to your device immediately
ON username: turns on notifications for a specific person on your device. For example, ON alissa.
OFF username: turns off notifications for a specific person on your device. For example, OFF blaine.
FOLLOW username: this command allows you to start receiving notifications for a specific person on your device. Example: follow jeremy LEAVE username: this command allows you to stop receiving notifications for a specific person on your device. Example: leave benfu
Fun Stuff: friends, favorites, and stats!
There's more to Twitter than OFF and ON! Use the commands below to send private messages, mark updates as favorites, or even remind someone to update their Twitter if you're wondering what they're doing!
@username + message
directs a twitter at another person, and causes your twitter to save in their "replies" tab.
Example: @meangrape I love that song too!
D username + message
sends a person a private message that goes to their device, and saves in their web archive.
Example: d krissy want to pick a Jamba Juice for me while you're there?
WHOIS username
retrieves the profile information for any public user on Twitter.
Example: whois jack
GET username
retrieves the latest Twitter update posted by the person.
Example: get goldman
NUDGE username
reminds a friend to update by asking what they're doing on your behalf.
Example: nudge biz
FAV username
marks a person's last twitter as a favorite. (hint: reply to any update with FAV to mark it as a favorite if you're receiving it in real time)
Example: fav al3x
STATS this command returns your number of followers, how many people you're following, and which words you're tracking.
INVITE phone number
will send an SMS invite to a friend's mobile phone.
Example: Invite 415 555 1212
Twitter Tracking This feature is currently disabled
Get updates matching specific words, or topics of interest with the track feature. For example, for updates about the upcoming Coachella concert, send track coachella. To get the latest buzz about Austin, track SXSW . Track as many words as you want. What's the catch? It only works on phone and IM, no API or web tracking...yet!
track word: starts tracking a word
untrack word: stops tracking a word
untrack all: stops tracking all words
track off: stops tracking all words
tracks: returns a list of words you're tracking
Hint: track your user name to get an update when someone sends you an @reply!
Noteworthy Facts
using on/off username from your device only stops notifications to the device the command comes from; you'll still collect a person's updates on the web.
using follow/leave username from your device is the same as using on/off username
following someone from a device for the first time will also cause you to follow them on the web
there is no way to stop following a person on the web without visiting their profile and removing them. The off, leave, stop, and quit commands will only disable updates for the device(s) from which they were sent.
you don't have to use ON/OFF username from IM or phone, you can set individual notifcations from a person's profile page, or check your following page and manage all friend notifications there.

Are you worried that we will wake up November 5th to find that, once again, election results in key races are in question? Here's what you can do.
These recommendations from the staff at YES! Magazine are simple ways you can protect your own vote—and the fairness of the system, based on the recommendations of leading voting integrity advocates.
Please forward this checklist to others to help make our election system work.
BEFORE ELECTION DAY
1. Check your registration. Even if you think you're registered, you may not be. Check online at www.CanIVote.org.
2. Vote now. Check if early voting is possible in your state. If you’re voting by mail, check carefully where you need to sign, how to seal the envelope, and how to mark the ballot. And note: Some ballots require extra postage.
3. Practice your vote. Electronic voting machines can be difficult to use. Verifiedvoting.org is preparing links to video demos of how to vote on the machine you will find at your polling station. If you'll be using a paper ballot, check out the sample included in your voter pamphlet.
4. Find out who’s in charge. Make a phone list of your county and state election officials—it may save valuable time on Election Day if you need to get registration verification or other information.
ON ELECTION DAY
5. Vote early. Avoid the frustration of long lines. Also, if you encounter problems, you'll have time to sort them out and may be able to help others.
6. Take your government-issued ID and your cell phone, if you have one. If you have problems, or see problems, call a hotline immediately (see point #9). You may not need ID to vote, but it's best to have it. If you have trouble with your registration, ask for a provisional ballot.
7. Avoid Straight Party Voting, if it's an option in your state. Vote for each race individually, even if it takes a little longer.
8. Verify your vote. If you’re voting on an electronic voting machine, check the review screen to make sure it reflects your vote. If the machine produces a paper record, check as you go along that everything is working correctly. If not, speak to a polling attendant—don’t leave until you’re sure your vote has been properly recorded.
9. Document and report. If you encounter difficulties, or see others experiencing difficulties (excessive lines, voter harassment, malfunctioning machines, etc.), make a detailed record. Get all the facts you can—location, names, specific problem.
The best way to report problems is to call 1-866-OUR-VOTE (1-866-687-8683), which has volunteer lawyers in 15 locations standing by to provide rapid-response assistance. You can also contact your party of choice. We have more suggestions here.
AFTER ELECTION DAY
10. Call your candidate. If there are questions about an election result, urge your candidate to ask for an audit. Ask how you can help.
11. Call your election officials. If you have concerns, let your county and state election officials know, and monitor their response. Ask them not to certify the election before all challenges and recounts are finished. And send a copy of your message to your local newspaper editor. If you're confident about the election result, thank the officials for a difficult job well done.
INTO THE FUTURE
12. Work for fair, transparent elections. 66% of Americans don't trust the electronic voting machines many of us will be voting on this November. Join the movement for election reform in between elections. Find out how at:
